Lesson terms

1. Booking

You can book online, through the website chat, by phone or by WhatsApp. A lesson is confirmed when you receive the confirmation email (or a message from Murad). Lessons are given by Passaura Driving School, a driving school run by Murad.

2. Your licence and eyesight

You must hold a valid provisional (or full) driving licence for Great Britain or Northern Ireland and show it at your first lesson. You must be able to read a number plate from 20 metres, with glasses or contact lenses if you need them, and wear them for every lesson. Please tell us before your first lesson about any medical condition that could affect your driving, and tell DVLA where the law requires it.

3. Prices

Prices are in pounds sterling and shown on the Lessons and prices page: 2 hour lesson £70, 3 hour lesson £105, 4 hour lesson £140, 10 hour block £350, Intensive course £35 per hour, minimum 2 hours, Mock tests £35 per hour, minimum 2 hours, Test coming up? £35 per hour, minimum 2 hours, Test day: car for your test £160, Refresher lessons £35 per hour, minimum 2 hours. Lessons marked "Price on request" are quoted before you book. DVSA theory and practical test fees are not included: you pay them to DVSA.

4. Payment

• Single lessons are paid by cash, on the day, before the lesson starts. Nothing is paid online when you book.
• The 10 hour block costs £350 and is paid in cash before the first lesson of the block. Its hours are used for lessons booked at the usual times and pick up areas.
• Test day car hire, intensive courses and refresher lessons are paid as agreed when you book them.

5. Moving or cancelling a lesson

• You can move or cancel a lesson free of charge up to 48 hours before it starts, from the link in your confirmation email or by contacting Murad.
• A lesson cancelled or moved with less than 48 hours notice is charged in full, unless it was something you could not help, such as sudden illness or an emergency.
• If you are not at the pick up place within 15 minutes of the start time and we cannot reach you, the lesson is charged in full.
• If your instructor has to cancel, you are offered another time or are not charged for that lesson.
• If your instructor decides conditions are not safe for a lesson, for example snow or ice, the lesson is moved at no charge.

6. Your driving test

Under DVSA rules you book and manage your own practical test on GOV.UK. If you want to use the tuition car for your test, check with Murad before you book the date. If the car is not available for a reason within our control, test day car hire for that test is refunded. Murad may decline to take you to a test if you are not yet safe to drive without help, and will explain why.

7. Safety

Your instructor may end a lesson early, and charge for it, if it is not safe to continue, for example if a pupil appears affected by alcohol, drugs or medication. Lesson time starts and ends at the agreed pick up place.

8. Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything, please tell Murad first at info@cygnoverse.com or 07979 974479. You can also complain to DVSA about a driving instructor. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
